Heterophonic
Definition-
Hetero- different, other. Phonic- sound, voice
Heterophony can be the most difficult texture to understand, but is usually easy to spot when listening to a piece. In heterophonic texture you will have two or more parts which are performing the same part, however they play them slightly different. For example, looking at the example above both lines are red and have the same shape, however one line is broken up. Therefore they are playing the same part however with differences.
