Set works which feature heterophonic texture
Yiri is the only set work that uses heterophonic texture. After the balafon solo in the opening a second balafon joins the performance. As both balafon parts are improvised, they perform the same melodic line with differences creating a heterophonic texture.
Heterophony is the least common texture, generally only found in world music, often, like above in styles of music, which heavily use improvisation.
